RCS Golf Classic set for May 15 at Pinewood

ASHEBORO—A fixture on the area’s spring golf calendar comes up Friday, May 15. Regional Consolidated Services (RCS) of Asheboro will stage its 17^th annual golf fundraiser at the Pinewood Country Club.

                               

The Add Penfield/RCS Golf Classic, with the Acme-McCrary-Corporation and Sapona Manufacturing Company Foundation as corporate sponsor, still is accepting entries for the 18-hole, captain’s choice tournament to be played for the first time over the par-72 Pinewood layout.

               

The entry fee is $75 per contestant; $300 for a team. The field will be limited to 124 amateurs. The 2008 championship team, composed of Donnie White, Billy Lawson, Dwight Crews and Terry Jackson, will be back to defend its title.
