RCS Golf Classic

ASHEBORO—A field of more than 110 golfers is scheduled to tee off Friday (May 15) in the Add Penfield/RCS Golf Classic at Pinewood Country Club.

           

A shotgun start will come at 12:30 p, m. following a luncheon and brief program in the Pinewood dining area. The “Service to Golf and the Tournament” award to a yet-to-be-named recipient will be made at that time.

           

The 18-hole, captain’s choice event is a fundraiser for Regional Consolidated Services (RCS). an Asheboro non-profit human services agency. The Acme-McCrary/Sapona Foundation is the corporate sponsor. Pinewood is hosting the tournament for the first time in its 17-year history.

           

The practice range at the course will open at 10:a.m.
