Asheboro—Regional Consolidated Services (RCS) of Asheboro and the agency’s Home Care Program have received a donation of $500 from the local lodge of Woodmen of the World.
The Life Insurance Society’s annual gift to RCS was presented at the awards banquet of the Carl C. Stout, Jr., W. O. W. Lodge 921, held Saturday evening, May 9.
Teri Mabry, director of the RCS Home Care Program, expressed “deep appreciation” of W. O. W.’s continuing support of what has been a primary focus of the human services provided by RCS in Randolph county for 25 years.
“The late Mr. Carl Stout, Jr., was a cherished friend of RCS,” Mabry said. “He recognized the efforts of our staff as vital to the community’s elderly and handicapped citizens confined to their homes. He was an outstanding champion of our cause and we will always be grateful to him and the organization which has memorialized him.”
RCS Home Care features a staff of Certified Nursing Assistants who take personal care and light housekeeping into the homes of eligible clients free of charge. Their mission is to minister to people in a home environment and to help them avoid assisted living.
